Post #60: The Light At The End Of The Tunnel

2020 has been a different year full of plenty of hardships. Hopefully, 2021 will be a much better year than this one, and will act as our light at the end of our tunnel. This is what I have represented in my art piece. I drew in colour pencil, a damp, narrow tunnel forming in the darkness, and at the end of it, a bright lantern, our hope for a brighter future. I hope you like it and I wish you all the best for 2021!!

Usually when we think of art, we think of a drawing on paper, made with traditional mediums such as pencil, pen and paint. However, art is MUCH more than that. But as the day progresses, the sun slowly fades away, and by the time it’s evening, the sky is almost completely gray. But there is still light. There is still something to brighten our lives so that we don’t have to dwell in darkness.

In my artwork, I have decided to show the world in two lenses. Oftentimes, the world feels gray. Sadness bubbles up inside and you feel that you’re all alone. Therefore, the tree on top is represented by a black-and-white barren tree to show the emptiness we seem to witness each day.  Underneath that shade of…

Eyes are seen as the windows to the soul. Human eyes are so spectacular, so different, so fascinating. We know this because we see them everyday. But humans aren’t the only species with eyes. I recently decided to research some animal eyes, and draw them . I found four animals whose eyes I found particularly…
